03CANONICAL MATCH STATE
Graphics are projections of the match — not a dozen separate documents that each hold their own version of reality. The match state drives the graphics, so a confirmed event moves everything that depends on it.
Correct a shirt number once and every graphic that identifies that player is already correct — scorebug, lower third, team sheet, statistics board.
TAKEFRAME carries that identity through the match — into the goal graphic, the event history, the half-time scorers and the full-time board.
The operator does not maintain one clock in the controller and another inside the graphic. The same match state drives both.
04BEFORE KICK-OFF
Competition, stadium, venue, kick-off, crests, shirt colours, coaches, officials, squads and both Starting 11s — assembled, reviewed and approved before a single graphic goes near air.

TAKEFRAME can gather match facts, squads, crests and portraits and present them for review — but it never treats a source as broadcast authority. Evidence stays visible; the approved value is what goes on air. A missing fact is not a fault: the graphics that need it report why they cannot run, and nothing is invented to fill the gap.
05TEAM SHEET

Build the team sheet by drag and drop, position the formation on the pitch, and confirm the submitted line-up. During the match the live line-up is derived from that Starting 11 plus every confirmed substitution — the submitted sheet stays historical match truth.
06PLAYER IDENTIFICATION

Player portraits are managed as identity assets and bound to canonical player records; club crests are treated the same way. Where a graphic has a club identity position, it carries the real crest — not a text placeholder.
05LIVE OPERATION
The live workspace is built around football actions, not graphic layers. The operator executes the event; TAKEFRAME resolves what that event means for the score, the clock, the line-up and every graphic that depends on them.

Start, pause, correct the time, control the period, add additional time, correct the score — the persistent scorebug carries teams, club identity, score, clock, period, match status, team colours and the aggregate score where a tie calls for it.
Changes the score. Nothing else.
Creates a football event with a scorer identity, and can take the goal graphic to air.
DELIBERATELY DIFFERENT ACTIONS — A GOAL IS NOT A BUTTON THAT ADDS ONE.
Prepare up to five player exchanges in a single substitution transaction. Every exchange tracks the real player off and the real player on, invalid duplicate selections are prevented, and the derived live line-up updates with it.

07MATCH STATISTICS
A full statistics workspace the operator can drive by hand, and a provider-neutral ingestion model built to map professional feeds into the same canonical statistics model.

IS NOT ZERO.
If TAKEFRAME does not have a statistic, it does not invent one. A board with no data says so rather than showing a confident nought — because a wrong number on air is worse than an absent one.
STATISTIC CATEGORIES
Every category can be driven manually by the operator when no feed is available — the statistics desk never depends on a provider being connected.
A provider-neutral adapter architecture maps live feeds into TAKEFRAME’s canonical statistics model. External data is treated as source evidence — the operator-approved value remains the broadcast truth.
08TWO LEGS · EXTRA TIME · PENALTIES
First leg, second leg, aggregate and penalties remain separate — and correct. The operator does not recalculate the tie after every goal, and a shoot-out never contaminates the football score.
AGGREGATE — CALCULATED LIVE
Configure the first-leg host and score once. From there the tie total follows the live match on its own, and the knockout tie-status graphic presents first leg, current leg, aggregate, tie state and the penalty result where one applies.
TWO FACTS, NEVER MERGED
SHOOT-OUT KICKS ARE NOT ADDED TO THE AGGREGATE FOOTBALL SCORE.
Choose who shoots first, select each kicker, record every attempt, run sudden death, correct a previous attempt and confirm the winner — with intro, tracker, current kicker, result and winner graphics to match.
09PREVIEW · PROGRAM · TAKE
Proper playout, in proper broadcast terms. Nothing reaches air by accident, and the operator can always see what is on it.
The graphic prepared for inspection before transmission. Clear Preview at any time without touching Program.
Move the prepared graphic to Program. One deliberate action, one result.
Change the data of a live graphic without replaying its entire entrance, where the scene supports it.
Remove the graphic from Program using its normal exit behaviour.
The operator decides whether the system is authorised to command Program at all. Disarmed, the live output cannot be casually altered; armed, every take is deliberate. This safety layer is what separates a production system from an overlay application.
